ATTACHING THE CUTTING HEAD GUARD

WARNING.

The line cutting blade on the

grass deflector is sharp. Avoid contact

with the blade. Failure to avoid contact

can result in serious personal injury.

Remove the bag with screws from the grass

deflector.
To fit the cutting head guard, turn the grass trimmer

upside down with the cutting line spool facing you.
Slide the cutting head guard over the spool

assembly and sit it on the mounting boss so that

the large part of the guard sits to the rear. Secure

the guard in place with the screw, Fig.4.
Remove the protective tape from the line cutting

blade, Fig.5.

WARNING.

Take care not to cut your

self on the bade. Its extremely sharp.

OPERATION

WARNING.

Do not allow familiarity with

products to make you careless.

Remember that a careless fraction of a

second is sufficient to inflict severe

injury.

WARNING.

Always wear eye protection

with side shields marked to comply with

ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result

in objects being thrown into your eyes,

resulting in possible serious injury.

Never use blades, flailing

devices, wire or rope on this product. Do

not use any attachments or accessories

not recommended by the manufacturer

of this product. The use of attachments

or accessories not recommended can

result in serious personal injury.

CONNECTING TO A POWER SUPPLY

This product is designed with a power cable

retainer that prevents the extension cord from

being pulled loose while using.

Form a loop with the end of the extension cord.
Insert loop portion of extension cord through the

opening in the bottom of the rear handle and place

over power cable retainer, Fig.6.
Slowly pull loop against power cable retainer until

the slack is removed.
Plug product into extension cord.
