ASSEMBLY

UNPACKING

The product requires assembly.

Carefully remove the product and any accessories from 
the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing

SETTING UP THE HANDLE

Loosen the clamp.

 

Ŷ

Lift the handle to the desired position.

 

Ŷ

Tighten the clamp securely.

ATTACHING THE CUTTING ASSEMBLY TO THE 
POWER HEAD

A cutting assembly is attached to the power head by means 

of a coupler device.

Loosen the knob on the coupler of the power head shaft 
and remove the end cap from the attachment. 

 

Ŷ

Pull the retaining pin located on the power head shaft 
and rotate 1/4 turn. Rotating allows the pin to lock out 
of the shaft even when released.

 

Ŷ

Align the hole in the attachment shaft with the retaining 
pin on the power head shaft and slide the two shafts 
together. 

 

Ŷ

Rotate the retaining pin 1/4 turn to allow the pin to fully 
seat through the hole in the attachment shaft. 

NOTE:

 If the pin does not release completely in the 

positioning hole, the shafts are not locked into place. 
Slightly rotate from side to side until the pin is locked 
into place. 

 

Ŷ

Tighten the knob securely.

ATTACHING THE HARNESS

 

Ŷ

Connect the latch on the harness to the strap hanger.

 

Ŷ

Adjust the strap hanger to a balanced position where 
the blade or cutter attachment will suspend between

NOTE: 

Always use the harness with the product.

NOTE

: To quickly release the product from the harness, 

sharply pull the quick release tab.

ATTACHING THE BLADE GUARD

Stop the engine.

 

Ŷ

Remove the grass deflector.

 

Ŷ

Attach the blade guard to the mounting bracket and 
align the screw holes on the blade guard to the screws 
on the mounting bracket.

 

Ŷ

Tighten screws securely.

CONVERTING FROM BRUSHCUTTER TO GRASS 
TRIMMER

 WARNING

Be certain all knobs and fasteners are fully tightened 
before operating the product. Periodically check 
for tightness during use to avoid serious injury.

Removing the blade

 

Ŷ

Stop the engine.

 

Ŷ

Place the Allen wrench through the hole in the upper 
flange washer and the hole in the gear head. Turn 
blade nut clockwise to remove. 

 

Ŷ

Remove the blade nut, blade washer, cupped washer, 
and blade and retain for later use. 

 

Ŷ

Attach the grass deflector to the blade guard by placing 
the two locking tabs into the two notches; tighten the 
screw. 

NOTE: 

Store the disassembled parts together for later 

use.
