OPERATION

CAUTION.

The electrode measurement

probes are extremely sharp. Use care

when handling this instrument. Cover the

probes with their protective covers and

close the probe lid when the instrument

is not in use.

TURNING THE UNIT ON AND OFF

Press the On/Off button to turn on the unit, Fig.2.
Long press the On/Off button to turn the unit off.

SCANNING MODE

Always keep the probe lid closed during scanning

mode. The scanning mode works via a sensor

located on the rear of the moisture meter just

above the battery compartment.
Press the On/Off button to turn on the unit. The unit

will automatically enter scanning mode as shown

by the flashing scanning icon. The default setting

for scanning mode is always DRYWALL, Fig.3.
There are 4 different scanning modes that can be

chosen:
• DRYWALL • MASONRY • SOFTWOOD

• HARDWOOD
Select the corresponding scanning measurement

mode according to the properties of the object to

be tested, (For example, chooses MASONRY

mode for a concrete wall), by pressing the Scroll

Up and Scroll Down buttons, Fig.4 & 5.
Place the sensor on bottom of the instrument

against surface of the object to be measured. The

moisture content of the object will be displayed on

the instrument. If you wish to lock the

measurement value on the screen press the HOLD

button, Fig.6. The humidity value locked symbol will

show on screen. If you wish to remove the locked

value press the HOLD button again.
