Brake adjustment (pic. 11)
If the braking force is decreasing due to wear on the wheels, the brake shoe can
be adjusted. The brakes must be adjusted so that both wheels brake evenly.
The distance between the brake pad and the wheel surface should be about
2–3 mm. After replacing wheels, the brake setting must be checked again and if
necessary, readjusted.
1.
Loosen the locking nut.
2.
Adjust the braking force by turning the brake cable spanner inwards or
outwards.
3.
Check the braking function by turning the wheels and operating the brake
levers. The wheels should turn freely but stop immediately when the bra-
kes are applied. The wheels must not be able to move when the brakes are
applied.
4.
Tighten the locking nut firmly again.
5.
If you are unsure about the correct adjustment of the brakes, please contact your specialist retailer.

Seat
Activate the parking brake before you sit on the seat. Always sit fully on the seat with your back in the direction of travel.
Do not lean against the seat! Do not lean over the sides or backwards while sitting on the rollator. That could impair the
stability of the Rollator. Do not use the seat on a sloping surface. Ensure that the front wheels are parallel to the direction
of walking. The seat has been tested for a user weight of up to 150 kg.
Overcoming obstacles with the help of the step assistant
The step aid is designed to make it easier to negotiate flat steps and kerbs. It is already mounted on both sides of the frame
between the rear wheels. Before using the step stool, make sure that you can stand on one leg safely. Practice using it with
an assistant if necessary. If you have to negotiate an obstacle, for example a kerb, drive straight towards the obstacle with
the walker until the two front wheels are parallel and directly in front of the obstacle (pic. 12). Use both hands to pull the
brake levers up so that both rear wheels are braked. Now carefully press down the step stool with your right or left foot and
at the same time pull both handles towards you (pic. 13). With the centre of gravity of the walker-rollator above the rear
wheels, release the brake levers slowly and simultaneously so that you can roll the walker-rollator on the rear wheels
towards the obstacle (pic. 14). Apply the brakes evenly again. Now you can lower the front wheels onto the obstacle with
the brakes applied. Release the brakes and push the walker forward until it is completely on the obstacle (pic. 15).

Stick Holder
You can use the stick holder to attach your walking stick simply and securely to the rollator and always have it handy
for when you need it. You can either fix the stick holder to the right or left hand frame of your rollator. Unscrew the fix-
ing screws with the tool supplied and place the small basket at the lower end around the vertical frame (pic. 17). Ensure
that the basket points outwards. Insert the fixing screw through the opening provided (pic. 18). Tighten the screw so
that the stick holder cannot become loose (pic. 19). Proceed with fixing the upper bracket in exactly the same way. It is
fixed at the upper end of the vertical rod of the frame.
Keep the tool in a safe place in case you wish to reposition or remove the stick holder.
When you wish to place your stick into the stick holder or remove it, apply the brakes of your rollator firmly so that it
cannot roll away. To fix your stick, first place the rubber pad into the lower basket of the stick holder. Then press the
shaft of your stick into the upper clip of the stick holder until it is fixed. To remove the stick, pull it firmly out of the clip.
An attached stick can project from your rollator. Please be extra cautious so you do not catch the stick on anything or
injure other people with it.
General care and cleaning
Rollator
The rollator can be cleaned with lukewarm water, neutral commercial and household cleaning agents and a soft cloth to
remove dirt, then rinsed and dried. Ultrana Ultra-Clean intensive or Ultrana CWC 2000, for example, are suitable for cleaning
and disinfection. No water must get into the pipes. After cleaning or after rain, dry the walker thoroughly with a dry, clean
cloth. Also clean the brake pads and springs regularly.
Do not use abrasive, corrosive or bleaching cleaning agents. Do not use metal brushes or other sharp-edged cleaning aids
for cleaning. Further cleaning instructions for reuse and before changing patients can be found under the Hygiene Plan.
Do not use the Rollator in temperatures below
–35 °C or above +60 °C.
Bag
Small items can be carried conveniently in the bag. The inside
pockets are suitable for storing items like keys or your purse or
wallet. The bag is designed to carry up to 5 kg. It can be hung up
and removed again easily using the integrated handles (pic. 20).
