9. STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
When transporting the generator, position the engine switch and fuel valve in the "OFF"
position". Hold the generator in a horizontal position to prevent fuel from leaking. Fuel
vapor or spilled fuel can ignite.
1) Transportation
Do not transport the generator if the fuel valve is not turned off and the engine is not
cold.
ATTENTION!
Do not tilt the generator. Otherwise, due to fuel leakage or volatilization, a
fire may be caused.
2) Storage
Check the following conditions for long storage of the generator:
•
The storage place does not have high humidity or dust deposits.
•
The fuel is empty.
WARNING!
To prevent the burning and explosion of gasoline, fire and smoke are strictly
prohibited.
a) Position the fuel valve in the "OFF" position, remove and empty the decanter glass.
b) Open the fuel valve, empty the fuel tank in a suitable empty container.
c) Install the decanter glass again, tighten it and secure it accordingly.
d) Loosen the carburetor discharge screw, discharge the fuel from the carburetor into a
suitable empty container.
- Replace the lubricant.
- Remove the spark plug. Pour 5 ml of clean lubricant into the cylinder. Turn the
generator over so that the lubricant is evenly distributed. Reset the spark plug.
- Operate the starter handle until the resistance is felt.
- Cover the generator to protect it from dust.
