FMS data filters
drop down menu. It is used to set a HCV data filter
–
this function is described in the next
section “
CAN FMS
”.
Filter by engine
This feature allows to filter CANbus data by engine state. It helps to solve errors in EcoDrive data calculations,
which arise from invalid CANbus data. Errors occur, while vehicle’s ignition is being turned off and during a
short time period, after it was
turned on. Full feature description is provided in the “
CANbus filter by engine
”
document.
CAN FMS:
Note
It is possible to configure FMS on one CAN interface and OBD on the other. OBD configuration is described
further in the document. If FMS+OBD is configured it is important that the OBD interface works properly! If
the OBD is not receiving information (no communication), then the FMS interface will not work as well.
Baud rate
- two possible options are available in the FMS Baud rate dropdown list:
250, 500
. Data transfers
rate depends on vehicle.
Calc HRLFC -
enables fuel consumption recalculation from fuel rate for FMS CANbus mode. Recalculation
works only when high resolution fuel consumption data from CANbus is not available.
Active
–
If this checkbox is enabled, device will do both, receive and send data to the
vehicle’s onboard
computer.
FMS data filters
drop down menu. It is used to set FMS data filter:

default option. Device sends only valid data (according to SAE J1939 standard) to
server. It discards FMS data packets with FF values. In this case, new records contain previously
obtained FMS parameter values (from valid data packets).
Note
Filter is applied only to the following FMS parameters:
Engine total fuel used, High resolution total
fuel used, Engine speed, Wheel based speed, Trailer weight, Cargo weight.
No filters
–
Device sends all data to the server.
