An outstanding grounding system is the basis of stable and reliable operation of RG-S12000 and
the essential condition for lightning and interference prevention.
For the safety of body and switch, good grounding is necessary for the switch. The electric
resistance between the chassis and the ground must be less than 1 ohm.
Grounding description
There are two kinds of ground in a machine room: safe ground and lightning prevention ground.
Safe ground guarantees the safety of body and switch. A typical example is the AC protection
ground of 3-core socket of power supply bank.
Lightning prevention ground prevents lightning shock. The lightning prevention system of
general equipment is a separate system composed of lightning rod, down-conductor and
grounding system.

Rack grounding pole
There are two grounding poles on the chassis back of RG-S12000, as shown in the following figure.

Connect the grounding pole on the chassis back of RG-S12000 to the grounding pole or
grounding bar of the machine room through grounding cables.
Connect power modules to the socket through 3-core AC cables. The AC protection ground of
the socket is also connected to the grounding pole or grounding bar of the machine room. This
