Drag the Port IO standard into the Network next to the PLC.

Once the RTA device is in the network click the Device view tab.

From the dropdown menu select ps01. Right click on the RTA device to select Properties.

Go down to the Ethernet addresses.

Be sure that the “IP address is set directly at the device” option is selected and uncheck the
“Generate PROFINET device name automatically.”

*Make sure the PROFINET Device Name field matches exactly (case-sensitive) to the
Device Label field in the PROFINET IO Server Configuration page.

*Make sure the PROFINET device and the gateway are on the same network.
