5.1 Switching off
1.
Switch off the hand-held vacuum cleaner
using the on/off switch (Fig. 16).
2.
Pull the plug out of the plug socket.
3.
Check the dust container and empty it if
required,

4.
Wind up the power cord after you have fin-
ished working with the appliance,

5.2 Emptying the dust container
The compact dust container can only store a
limited amount of dirt. So it is best to empty it
after each vacuuming session.
1.
Switch the appliance off and pull the plug
out of the socket.
2.
Hold the appliance low over a dustbin
(Fig. 17).
3.
Now press the release button (Fig. 17/ar-
row) to open the dust container base.
4.
Carefully tap out anything remaining or re-
move it by hand.
5.
Take this opportunity to clean the dust
container (

), the permanent filter
(

) and, every third time, the exhaust
filter (

5.3 Cleaning the dust container
1.
Switch the appliance off and pull the plug
out of the socket.

Now rinse out the dust container with run-
ning cold or hand-warm water.

Also clean the filters on this occasion,

NOTE:
You can dispose of the contents of the dust
container with your regular domestic waste
as long as it does not contain any sub-
stances not permitted in domestic waste.

Do not use hard brushes, cleaning or scour-
ing agents or alcohol, as these might dam-
