Key Features of Spiral Saw™ Power Tools
There are some standard features on the Spiral Saw™ models that you will
want to identify prior to operation. We are outlining these below on the Rebel
model, but you should be able to easily locate them on your particular model.

Operating Instructions
1. Preparing the Spiral Saw ™ power tool
Make sure tool is in OFF position and disconnected from power source.
Remove base guide. Twist base guide, counter-clockwise, about 1/8 of a turn until you feel it
disengage. Lift off tool.
Remove Zip® Bit and collet nut. Depress and hold down shaft lock button. With standard
wrench loosen collet nut. Remove bit, collet nut and 1/8” collet from tool.
Install 1/4” collet. Place 1/4” collet in tool and loosely tighten collet nut over top of it.

in properly inserting the pinion gear:

Insert pinion gear.
Depress and hold down the shaft lock
button. Place pinion gear into the collet
and position it all the way into the collet
system **. Use wrench to tighten collet
nut around gear.

gear into the collet and leave
one wrench width between it
and the top of the collet. Use
wrench to tighten collet nut
around gear.
*Serial Numbers are located on the
specification label on side of tool.

IMPORTANT: If you experience a loud grinding noise coming from a Spiral Saw™
power tool not noted in the listed SCS02 serial numbers, trouble-shoot the noise by
trying to reposition the pinion gear as noted in the above extra step. Afterwards, if you still
