Screw connections
DANGER
Incorrectly installed or screwed-in hardware components present a danger to life.
Installing and screwing hardware components into place improperly may lead to hazardous situations and
cause serious accidents or even death.

During installation and screwdriving work in particular, observe the specifications provided by the profile
manufacturer.

Use the screws specified.

Note the torques.
CAUTION!
Over-tightened screws may cause property damage.
Over-tightened screws lose their hold and no longer provide the necessary strength.

Protruding screw heads may cause property damage.
Protruding screw heads can damage adjoining materials.

Tighten screw heads until they are flush with the surface.

The length of the fixing screws must be selected according to the profiles used.
The manufacturer must ensure that the hardware components are adequately secured and if necessary contact
the screw manufacturer. Do not use any acid cross-linked sealing compounds that could lead to corrosion of the
hardware components.
Screw connections for PVC
WARNING
Incorrect screw connections may lead to serious injuries.
Short screws will not reach the steel reinforcement and will therefore not hold.
Hardware components can be pulled out of the sash if they are not screwed into the steel reinforcement.

Select the length of the screws so that they will hold in the steel reinforcement.
Fasten hardware components using electrogalvanised and passivated steel fixing screws. Use fixing screws with
additional sealing in more challenging climatic conditions.
