4. Programming
The following buttons are used for programming:
S service button (7)
program mode/confirmation button
Selection knob (4)
selection button
On/off button (2)
stop programming

Please note that programming can only be done if the on/off button (2) is set to
OFF (standby mode).

4.1 Filter
Filter use
You receive a special filter as an accessory for the water tank of this coffee machine.
By using the filter correctly, it is no longer necessary to de-calcify your coffee machine.
The filter setting must be set to ON so that the machine recognizes that the filter is in
use. The factory setting is off or no filter.
– Program setting for filter ON:
– Program setting for filter OFF:
• Using the on/off button (2), switch your coffee machine OFF (standby mode).
• Press the service button (7) for about 4 sec. to enter program mode.
• The
symbols light up one after another.
• Wait until the
symbol lights up for the filter and press the selection knob (4).
• The
symbol starts to blink!
• Press the selection knob (4) until both symbols
for the «Filter ON» blink.
• Press the service button (7) for about 4 sec. to confirm. The
symbols blink.
• Empty the water tank (17) and screw the filter into the holder (21) using the moun-
ting tool (24).
• Fill the tank with freshwater and replace it in the machine. The
symbol blinks.
• Hold a receptacle under the hot water jet (12) and turn the dial (11) to the right. The
system will now be rinsed.
• Wait until no more water comes out of the jet and then turn the dial (11) closed to
the left.
• The system will heat up briefly and is then ready for operation again.
(It can happen that the service button [7] is still blinking. Press the button [7] and a
short rinse will take place through the coffee outlet [8].)

If you use filter for your coffee machine and have programmed the system to
ON, the programming for water hardness and manual de-calcify will no longer
be shown.
