• Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces, sharp edges and
mechanical forces. Check the power cord regularly for damage and
deteriorations. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of an
electric shock.
• Do not place inflammable objects like tissues, grill cutlery etc. on the
hot grilling surface.
• The appliance must be completely cooled before removing grill plates
or before cleaning or moving the appliance.
• Never pour cold water on the hot grill plates. Neither pour
inflammable liquids on the grill plates – the appliance is not suitable
for flambéing!
• For a safe cut-off pull the mains plug after each use.
• For disconnecting the appliance from the mains, only pull the plug,
never the cord!
• Do not store the grill outside or in wet rooms.
• Never immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water for
cleaning.
• Only operate appliance and accessories in dry condition – especially
the grill plates and the electric connections must be absolutely dry.
Prior to first use
• Prior to the first grilling it is necessary to burn in the protective coating of the heating
elements. To do so, heat up the appliance with inserted grill plates and in closed position
(pos. A), at maximum temperature for about 15 minutes.
• Do not be bothered by the temporary formation of harmless smoke and smell. Please see for a
good ventilation of the room.
• Wipe clean the cooled-down grilling surface with a moist cloth.
• Prior to initial use, pour once some cooking oil on a kitchen tissue and treat the upper side of
the grill plates.
