Operating the appliance
WARNING: Hazard of injury and burns!
Casing, cover, grill plate, food and other components are
getting hot during use and firstly stay hot after switch-off! Be
aware of hot fat splatters and hot steam when opening the
hinged cover.
Prior to grilling
• Make sure that …
… the grill is correctly and completely assembled! (You will find more detailed information in
the attached mounting instruction.)
… the drip pan is placed below the grill plate!
… the grill is placed on a stable and even surface!
… the safety distances to the sides and to the top are observed!
… the power cord does not hang down to the floor
before
,
during
or
after
use so that the
appliance cannot be knocked over accidentally!
• Connect the appliance to the mains.
• Pre-heat the grill plate. Firstly, heat the appliance at the highest level for ca. 5 minutes before starting
grilling at the desired temperature.
• For this, turn the temperature regulator to the right to the max. level “10”.
Starting to grill
• After pre-heating, set the temperature regulator back to the desired level.
• For this, turn the temperature regulator back to the left to the desired position.
• Carefully put the food on the grill.
• By turning the temperature regulator, the temperature can be adjusted upwards or downwards any
time.
Grilling with closed cover
• Depending on your requirements and recipes, you can grill with closed cover. Due to the even heat
distribution in the inside of the cover, whole chickens, fish, rolled roasts or similar come out perfectly.
• The temperature display on the upper side of the cover shows the temperature in the inside.
NOTE:
For protection, we recommend you using grill gloves and cutlery!
NOTE:
Grill periods and temperature settings depend very much on the thickness of the food and
especially on the own taste; therefore, recommended settings are only for orientation!
NOTE:
We recommend pre-heating with closed cover, this saves energy and time.
NOTE:
For putting the food on the grill and for turning it, use suitable grill cutlery made of heat-resistant
plastic or wood.
NOTE:
During grilling, make sure that the fat drain does not get blocked, clean it occasionally if
necessary. Coarse soiling on the grill plate can be removed during use by means of the
enclosed cleaning scraper.
