Lifting with BariBar
1. Use an approved lifting sling.
2. Place the BariBar with the main bar directly over the user and with the hooks marked
with head symbols pointing towards the users back and head.
3. First, connect the lifting sling’s back loops.
4. Then, connect the leg support loops.
5. Apply tension and ensure that everything is correct before starting to lift. If the user is
uncomfortable, stop lifting.

The maximum load for BariBar is 454 kg.
Different products in the complete lift system (lift unit, sling bar, scales and other accessories) may be rated for different
max. loads. The lowest rated max. load always determines the max. load for the entire system. Always check the max.
load for the lift unit and lifting accessories before use, and contact your dealer when in doubt.
BariBar is made of aluminium and steel. The lift hooks are equipped with safety
latches. BariBar must be used in combination with ceiling lift units that are
recommended by Handicare.
All four hooks must always be used.
Head
Operation
When moving the BariBar without any load applied, hold the side bar with one or both
hands to prevent it from swinging.
When load is applied, use both the sling bar and the lifting sling to manoeuvre.
