Getting Started

1. Start the R&S

ZN-Z84 as described in

chapter 2.2.6, "Turning the Instrument

On and Starting"

on page 17.

2. Connect the R&S

ZN-Z84 via USB, as described in

chapter 2.3.1, "USB"

on page 18.
When first connected to a particular USB port, the R&S

ZN-Z84 is auto-detec-

ted by the operating system:

Note that the "Generic USB Hub" is only installed if the switch matrix is con-
nected via its front USB port (see

chapter 2.1.1.6, "USB Connector"

on page 10).

3. Select "All Programs > Rohde-Schwarz > ZN-Z8x > ZN-Z8x User" from the

Windows Start menu.
