1 General
Information
The base station system ND 951 is a receiver / transmitter system of the trunked radio system
ACCESSNET
®
. It transmits information between the functional units and the users of the trunked
radio system via an air interface.
1.1 Scope of Delivery
Normally the base station system ND 951 is delivered as a completely assembled cabinet. To
reduce the transport weight, bigger parts might be removed and packed separately. The cabinet
that is installed on the site contains the complete basic equipment for a 4-channel system and an
MMX compact system.
1.1.1 4-Channel Fitting-Out
The system ND 951 consists of 4 transceivers XD 951, a TX band pass filter, an RX band pass
filter, a TX-combiner, a receiver multicoupler, a frequency reference, power supply units, and a
control unit CCU.
1.2 Requirements
1.2.1 Security Regulations
General notes on security and accident prevention can be found in the accident prevention
regulations "Allgemeine Vorschriften“ (VBG 1)

. Works on electrical systems have to be carried out
in accordance with the accident prevention regulations "Elektrische Anlagen“ (VBG 4). If the device is
used outside the Federal Republic of Germany, the respective national regulations have to be complied
with.
Attention!
Work on this electrical system must only be carried out by trained staff.
For work with low voltage systems the "EG-regulation 73/23/EWG“ has to be taken into consideration. If
there are special regulations for operating a certain device, it is the responsibility of the user to pay
attention to them. Changes or amendments to the device have to meet the national and international
regulations as well as the general acknowledged technical rules.
During operation, it has to be ensured that no inadmissible electromagnetic forces and electrostatic
fields emerge.
When the installation is completed, all security systems must be checked immediately.
