Permanent shutdown
6.2 Permanent shutdown
The following chapter describes the procedure for performing a permanent shutdown of
the product properly.
For a permanent shutdown, all the physical connections to other connected network
constituents must be removed in addition to those measures taken for a temporary serv-
ice interruption of the base station.
Table 6.2 provides an overview of the order for disconnecting physical connections from
network elements.
The procedure for performing a permanent shutdown is described in the following.
Proceed as follows to perform a permanent shutdown:

The operation of the network element must have been interrupted temporarily, refer
to section 6.1 on page 133.
Carry out the following steps:

Remove any physical connections from the network element accordingly. Table 6.2.

The equipment cabinet has now been shut down permanently.
Restarting the Base Station
For recommissioning after a permanent shutdown, proceed as described in section 7.2
on page 138.
