Using smart cards:
The option to use smart cards can provide better control and monitoring of the machine. Each
operator can be issued with a card and if a printer or USB data logger is attached to the
machine this will record the operator number so batches can be traced to an operator. Also
cards can provide restricted access to the machine functions allowing different operators to
have control of different programs. It is also possible to restrict the access to program change
options thereby preventing unauthorised adjustments to the different program parameters. If
the smart card function has been switched off or you require specific card functions contact
Rodwell Scientific or your machine supplier for further details.
USB Memory stick Logger
The memory stick logger is designed to log every cycle that the MP25 performs. The log will
start automatically when the cycle is started and will stop when the cycle completes. Using
the supplied software installed on a PC the recorded data can be archived and viewed as a
graph or as program steps.
In order to operate, the memory stick must be inserted into the USB socket on the control
panel.
Do not remove the memory stick while a cycle is in progress
, as the system cannot
then log the cycle and data may be corrupted. Once a cycle has been completed the memory
stick can be removed and plugged into a PC.
If you try to start a cycle while the memory stick is removed, or not ready, the screen will
display a warning message, if you wish to continue without logging press the start button
again else press stop, insert the memory stick and then re-start the program once the memory
is ready.
The system is supplied with a 1Gb memory stick, this is sufficient for around 2 years of
constant logging and so is unlikely to be filled up if used correctly. The options screen of the
MP25 allows you to check the remaining memory if the display shows >65K then there is
enough space on the memory stick to continue logging. As with any memory device, they are
