Minimum Requirements for PC 
 

An on-board SATA port or an eSATA card 
 
If the on-board SATA port is used, an eSATA-to-SATA cable must to be connected to the eSATA 
cable.  
 
If the eSATA card is used, the eSATA card OS driver must be installed.  

 

Initializing the Volume Using a MAC 
 

1.

 

When a MAC server is powered ON and the Rocserve 4RMe is already connected via 
eSATA cable; or when a MAC server is already running and the eSATA cable from 
Rocserve 4RMe is plugged in to the eSATA port, the Rocserve 4RMe Volume will be 
automatically detected. NOTE: Ensure that the MAC OS version supports the eSATA card 
installed in your system or you may need to install the MAC OS driver for your eSATA 
card.

The Rocserve 4RMe Volume is not yet initialized and not readable by the MAC OS. Select
