be done by a registered installer/contractor qualified in
the installation and ser

ice of gas-fired heating
equipment.
Read this manual carefully before installation, operation
or ser
v
ice of this equipment.
This heater is designed for heating nonresidential indoor
spaces. Do not install in residential spaces. These
instructions, the layout dra
w
ing, local codes and
ordinances, and applicable standards that apply to gas
piping, electrical
w
iring,
v
enting, etc. must be thoroughly
understood before proceeding
w
ith the installation.
Protecti
v
e gear is to be
w
orn during installation, operation
and ser

ice. Thin sheet metal parts, such as the reflector
portion of the heater and the
v
arious
v
enting
components, ha
v
e sharp edges. To pre
v
ent injury, the use
of
w
ork glo
v
es is recommended. The use of glo

es
w
ill
also pre
v
ent the transfer of body oils from the hands to
the surface of the reflector.
Before installation, check that the local distribution
conditions, nature of gas and pressure, and adjustment of
the appliance are compatible.
The heater must be applied and operated under the gen-
eral concepts of resonable use.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (includ-
ing children)

ith reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and kno

ledge, unless
they ha

ision or instruction concern-
ing use of the appliance by a person responsible for their

To pre

ill be required for installation.
1.2 IP55 Protection
The burner is certified to protection class of IP55. This
means that the internal components of the burner are
protected against extreme dusty atmosphere and
w
ater
jets from all sides. Outside air supply and flue are
mandatory for this heater. The standard exhaust fans
mentioned in this manual do NOT ha
v
e IP55 protection
and must be outside the
w
et en
v
ironment. If the fan is to
be installed in the
w
et en
v
ironment, a special IP54
protected fan must be used. Consult Roberts-Gordon
LLC for alternati
v
e exhaust fans. Optional stainless steel
burner box pro
v
ides long life in the most corrosi
v
e
applications. Al

ays ensure that the en
v
ironment to be
heated is not of an explosi

e or flammable nature. For
