The screen shot printed shows the ‘CYCLE’ process mar-
ked and activated; you can now determine the sequence
of events as follows:
• CHARGE > DISCHARGE
• DISCHARGE > CHARGE
together with the number of cycles and the pause times
between the individual cycles:
• CYCLE TIME
• DELAY TIME
The following table explains the effect of the individual options:

Selected option
Sequence of events
AUTOMATIC
In automatic mode the optimum values for current and volta-
ge are set automatically by the charger. All you have to do is
set the cut-off temperature (if you are using the temperature
sensor). This mode is available for charge and discharge pro-
cesses with NiCd and NiMH batteries.
NORMAL
In this mode the charger works with the charge and / or dischar-
ge parameters set by the user. During the process the voltage of
the battery is checked every minute under no-load conditions.
LINEAR
In this mode the charger works using the charge and dischar-
ge parameters set by the user; the battery is charged using
pure Direct Current (D.C.).
REFLEX
If you have selected the Reflex process, the charger works
using the charge parameters set by the user, but the battery
is charged using a pulsed D.C. current. Very brief but high-
rate discharge pulses during the charge process help to pre-
vent undesired ‘memory’ and ‘lazy battery’ effects which can
affect NiCd and NiMH batteries.
CC-CV
This charge process is available for LiPo and Lead-acid bat-
teries. During the first stage the battery is charged using
Constant Current (CC), and during the second state using
Constant Voltage (CV) (see graph on page 26).
CHARGE > DISCH
This option determines the sequence of the cycles; it starts
with a charge process, after which the battery is discharged
again.
DISCH > CHARGE
This option determines the sequence of the cycles; it starts
with a discharge process, after which the battery is charged
again.
CYCLE COUNT
The number of cycles in the process
PAUSE TIME
Pause between cycles when a charge process is followed by a discharge process
