Installation of Water Supply Connector
Please ensure you are hooking up to the cold water.
Self Piercing Valve
When using the "SELF PIERCING VALVE", mount and tighten the "self piercing valve" on the copper line in a easy to
reach place. Turn the saddle valve clockwise all the way in. This drives the sharp end of a sharp metal pierce into the
copper tubing and will pierce a tiny hole. This is the "OFF" position for your new RO system. Leave it like this until
later in the installation process.
Attach and tighten water supply connector assembly being careful not to pinch or crimp any tubing or water supply line
while tightening.
Installation of Sink Top Faucet
•
Using a 12mm drill bit, drill a hole at the side of the sink.
•
Operate the drill slowly and carefully, especially when the drill is about to penetrate the metal.
•
Once you have the drilling complete, mount the sink top faucet in the hole. Use an adjustable wrench, or hand, to hold
the faucet and tighten the 9/16" nut.
Mounting the Purification Assembly
Determine first if mounting is necessary as this can be optional.
1. Mark screw locations at the desired positions. Use the two holes on back of purification assembly mounting bracket
for marker guides.
2. Screw wood screws supplied with unit into marked positions. Leave screw heads out a little.
3. Mount purification assembly onto screws.
Connecting the Tubing
A.
Connect the RED tubing to the water supply connector.
B.
Connect the BLUE tubing to the sink top faucet.
A Note on Push Fit Connections:
The Push Fit Connectors are opened by pushing down on the Collet ring with two
fingernails and pulling the hose at the same time. If necessary, use a pair of pliers, a
small spanner or any tool that can apply pressure on both sides of the Quick Connectors
Collet.
The Red Tube
After cutting the red pipe to an appropriate length connect it to the red capped inlet of your sediment filter housing
found at the top right of the unit and marked with an up arrow and th
e word “IN”.
Do not turn the water on yet.
