6. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Refer to Figures - 4 - on page 5.
6.1. Prepare the pipes and the coupling for welding in compliance with the
recommendations given in the “General Welding Criteria” section and the instructions
of the pipe and coupling manufacturers.
6.2. Insert the plug in the mains socket.
6.3. Connect the pins to the coupling.
6.4. The correct power supply to the card is indicated by green led A: “POWER LINE”.
6.5. Check that yellow led B “SLEEVE CONNECTED” illuminates: this indicates that the
unit has acknowledged presence of the coupling and is ready for welding.
6.6. Press welding START button C and check that yellow led D “WELDING IN
PROGRESS” illuminates.
6.7. Correct welding confirmation is indicated when yellow led D switches off and
green led E “WELDING OVER” illuminates.
6.8. Illumination of red led F “ALARM - INCORRECT WELD” indicates various anomalies:
