MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION MANUAL FOR GR1 GATE
d) Scheme of fitting the device to the foundation
Device is to be fitted to a foundation with the use of steel anchor bolts glued (using chemical adhesive) to a
stable foundation (e.g. concrete foundation).
Note: Devices must be set up prior to assembly in order to check whether they work properly.
The device must not be operated if there is a risk it is not fitted or not fitted properly to the
foundation. The device shall not be fitted to the foundation that is covered with a soft material
e.g. carpet, floor lining etc.
e) Structure enabling easy access to the device interior and fitting by the wall
Having the device housing removed, it is possible to access the device interior in order to perform installation,
maintenance and repair works, for example. To remove the housing, the minimum distances should be 50 mm
(behind the device) and 350 mm (above the device).
Note: Prior to the side bonnets disassembly, one needs to make sure the device is not plugged to
the power supply. To perform installation, maintenance and repair works on devices already
fitted, it is necessary to exclude the area from pedestrian traffic using relevant barriers and signs
marking installation/service worker’s working area.
f) Locking the backward motion
Locking system prevents the rotor to move in the opposite direction to the direction set by the external device
signal.
Note: It is not possible for a person passing through the device’s passage section while the passage
cycle lasts to move back if the rotor has performed an about 20˚ rotation.
To prevent passing a few people through at a single unlocking (authorisation for passing), it is
advised to use rounded barriers.
