MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION MANUAL FOR GR1 GATE
1.
Functions of devices
a) Operating
Locking systems are released after obtaining an electronic setting signal from a controlling external devices (e.g. reader, controller, control
logic/switch). Setting signal may enable releasing one of the gate rotor’s rotary motion direction (exit/entry). Releasing time is about 15 seconds
(time during which the device is in standby mode waiting for the person to pass). After releasing mechanism’s locking systems, the device awaits
a
force to be applied onto a rotor’s arm at any point, that is applying a horizontal force of about 10 N. After a 20˚
tilting of rotor’s arms, a drive unit
is automatically powered-up until passage cycle is completed. After reaching point “0” by the rotor’s rotary motion (so called end of cycle), the drive
unit remains locked until a next setting signal from an external device is received.
b) System of clearing the passage in case of voltage decay (model DA only)
Devices are equipped with an electro-mechanic system, that enables clearing the passage section in case of
a scheduled or unscheduled voltage decay on the device (in GR1 - TM – DA gate type).
On the point of voltage decay the system makes the arm fall to the release position (clearing the passage
section).
Note: Concerning that the devices installation requires allotting new zones and areas within
a building, compliance of the solution with local laws and safety standards, including fire-
fighting regulations, is to be verified at all times.
c) Securing access with the use of a key lock
The gate’s cover is secured against unauthorised personnel access with a lock unlocked with a key.
Note: The key shall be kept away from an unauthorised personnel access. The only person
authorised to keep the key should be a person trained properly and acknowledged with this
manual.
