the battery voltage is greater than 17.5v
Temperature regulation – F04 error code is displayed if
the temperature exceeds 95º
The RSCP12 and RSC25 are 7 stage fully automatic
smart battery chargers. The SmartCharger
automatically adjusts the charge rate applied as the
battery charges. With the battery fully charged the
charging process stops, as the battery naturally
discharges further charge is applied until the battery is
again fully charged. This process is an ongoing process
to ensure a safe connection for an indefinite period.
The RSCP12 and RSCP25 include the following charge
stages:
1.
Desulphation
Pulse charges to break down the build of
lead sulphate crystals. Lead sulphate crystals
can occur when a lead acid battery has been
discharged or left unused for a period
of time
2.
Soft start
A slow steady build up of the charging
process that limits the charging current
applied until the voltage is 12v
3.
Bulk Charging
The main part of the charging process,
whereby 80% of the charge is applied
4.
Absorption
Charges the battery up to 99% capacity, has
a steady decline of the charging current
applied until the battery is charged
5.
Battery test
The SmartCharge conducts an automatic
discharge test. If further charging is required
the battery recondition function is
automatically selected. If fully charged the
battery goes into the float stage
6.
Battery Recondition *
An additional automatic charging stage to
recover deeply discharged batteries.
7.
Float
The float stage maintains the battery at
100% charge without overcharging or
damaging the battery, allowing the charger
to be left connected to the battery for an
indefinite period.
* The battery reconditioning function is an automated
process that can recover batteries from a deeply
discharged state increasing performance and battery
life. This process can take up to 24 hours depending on
battery condition. If after the battery reconditioning
process the battery still does not recover the F05 error
code will be displayed. F05 indicates the battery is
faulty and should be replaced.
F01 is also displayed if the battery is faulty and should
be replaced
