DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE
The
SUN 1 PLUS 2 RS
differential controller is designed to control a
domestic hot water system with an integrated solar water heat-
ing system. The supplementary function for metering thermal
energy production can also be selected.
The controller is equipped with 4 inputs for temperature sen-
sors: 1 VFD sensor for measuring temperature and flow rate, 2
electromechanical relay outputs for switching the pump on and
off and 1 PWM output for modulating pump control.
A back-lit display permits easy use of controller functions, and
also displays a schematic of the active system layout formed by
two-colour LEDs.

DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS
The controller is operated by means of 3 buttons located under
the back-lit display.
Button 1 (+)
lets you scroll forward through displayed parame-
ters (see the “View-only parameters” section) or increment the
setpoint of control parameters (see the “Control parameters”
section).
Button 2 (-)
lets you scroll back through displayed parameters,
access the parameter setting/viewing area, and decrement con-
trol parameter setpoints.
Button 3 (OK/set)
lets you edit control parameters and confirm
new setpoint values.
Nr. displayed
Proceed as follows to display the controller’s view-only param-
eters.
− Briefly press key 1 (+) or 2 (-). The first view-only param-
eter for the active system layout appears on the screen
− scroll through the parameters with keys 2 (-) and 1 (+)
− each parameter shown is accompanied by its current
reading.
For a complete list of view-only parameters, see the relevant
section in the Technical Service part of this manual.

NR. DISPLAYED
The screen is made up of 3 areas:
− parameter area
− symbols area
− the system layout area.
6
PARAMETER AREA
The parameter area consists of two lines of characters.
The top line is an alphanumeric field of characters of 16 seg-
ments each. This line displays the code identifying the current
parameter (see the list of parameters).
The bottom line is made up of digits of 7 segments and displays
the current parameter value.
Temperatures are displayed in °C or °F . Temperature differentials
are displayed °K or °Ra.
