Message Cause Solution
"Change (Tray name) to the
following settings:" The size of the paper in the
tray does not match the paper
size specified in the printer
driver. Press [Change] to change the
paper size and type settings of
the tray, as indicated on the
screen, and then load the
appropriate paper in the tray.
Otherwise, press [JobReset] to
reset the job, or press [Form
Feed] to force printing by
specifying another tray.
"Cover Open. Please close the
indicated cover." A cover of the printer is open. Close the cover as indicated on
the control panel.
"Duplex mode is in off position
for (tray name)" The duplex mode for the
indicated tray is not available. Press [Change] to change the
tray setting to allow duplex
printing, or press [Job Reset] to
reset the job. Otherwise, press
[Form Feed] to print on one side
of a sheet.
"Enter password." User Restriction is enabled. Contact your administrator for the
password.
"Failed to connect to server for
Remote Diagnostics." The printer cannot
communicate with Remote
Communication Gate. Check the connection to the
Remote Server Gate.
"Independent-supply toner" Independent-supply toner is
set. Use the toner recommended for
this printer.
"Load paper in (tray name)" There is no paper in the
specified tray. Change the settings of the printer
driver, and then print the file
again.
Load the specified paper in the
tray.
"Replacmnt Requrd Maint. Kit" You need to replace the
maintenance kit. For details, see "Replacing Other
Consumables", Operating
Instructions.
"Replcmnt Requrd Drum Unit" You need to replace the drum
unit. For details, see "Replacing Other
Consumables", Operating
Instructions.
