Battery
• Do not insert the plus (+) and minus (–) ends of the battery in reverse.
• Do not install a combination of used and new batteries. Do not mix different types of batteries.
• Use the batteries specified by the manufacturer.
• Remove all worn out batteries as soon as possible.
• Remove the batteries from the clock if the clock will not be used for a long time.
• When changing the batteries, please replace with all new batteries.
• When changing the batteries, please clean the both ends of the batteries and the terminals of the
clock.
• If dirty, use a soft cloth to wipe the clock with neutral detergent or soapy water. Then wipe with
a dry cloth.
• Avoid using benzene, thinner, alcohol or aerosol cleaners to clean the case.

What is the Radio Wave Clock?
The Radio Wave Clock is a clock which can automatically correct the time and calendar infor-
mation by receiving accurate timing information via radio waves.
The Standard Frequency and Time Signal Radio Waves
This clock canreceive automatically the
Japan Standard Time signals
from both Fukushima
and Kyushu station.
Receiving Areas of the Radio Waves
Under good conditions, it is considered to receive radio waves at a position of about 1,200 km
apart from thetransmitting station.

Even if within the receiving areas, radio wave transmission may be prevented by various unfa-
vorable con-ditions (sun activities, seasons, weather, or topographical features and building
structures).
Radio waves may fail to receive in the places or at the times shown below.

In the basement of buildings

Near high-voltage cables, TV towers or train bridges

Near metal shutters or window blinds
●
Near electric appliances or OA equipment, or near/on the furnitures used steel structure
●
In the places where radio waves are obstructed; construction sites, airports or busy traffic sites, etc.

In the morning and evening, or on a rainy day
