IQ Screen*

The IQ screen is used to configure the instruments IQ settings.
IQ - Selects IQ information to be either displayed (ON) or not displayed (OFF) on screen
Haze – Selects Haze measurement according to test method ASTM E430, test method
ASTM D4039 or logHaze (a more sensitive measurement). ASTM D4039 is only suitable
for non-metallic samples having a gloss value of greater than 70GU at 60 degrees (values
below this are still calculated but the haze value is displayed in red).

section of this manual.
Haze Compensation – Selects either ON or OFF. Haze compensation is not available when
ASTM D4039 is selected. Further details of Haze Compensation can be found in the
Appearance Theory section of this manual.
Press the Left button to return to the Home screen.
With IQ settings set to ON Haze measurements are displayed in addition to Gloss as
shown below:
With ASTM E430 selected an (E) identifier will be displayed next to the Hz parameter.
With ASTM D4039 selected a (D) identifier will be displayed next to the Hz parameter
*The IQ screen is only available on the Novo-Gloss 20/60/85 with Haze.
