Changing Engine Oil
1. Stop the engine.
2. Let engine sit and cool for several minutes (allow
crankcase pressure to equalize).
3. Place oil pan (or suitable container) under the oil
drain plug.
4. With a damp rag, thoroughly clean around the oil
drain plug.
5. Remove the oil drain plug. Once removed, place
the oil drain plug on a clean surface.

easily from the oil drain port.
7. Allow oil to completely drain.
8. Replace oil drain plug.
9. Fill crankcase with oil following the steps outlined in
Adding Engine Oil
.
Never dispose of used engine oil by dumping the
oil into a sewer, on the ground, or into groundwater
or waterways. Always be environmentally
responsible. Follow the guidelines for proper
disposal of hazardous materials. Consult local
authorities or reclamation facility.
10. Dispose of used engine oil properly.

Cleaning the Air Filter

ust be cleaned after every 50 hours
of use or 3 months (frequency should be increased if
generator is operated in a dusty environment).
1. Turn off the generator and let it cool for several
minutes if running.
2. Move the generator to a f
l
at, level surface.
3. Turn the release knob at the bottom of the air
cleaner assembly counterclockwise until the air
cleaner cover can freely move outward.
4. Slowly lift up and disengage the top tabs of the air
cleaner cover . Clean the air cleaner cover with a
clean rag and place on a clean surface.
