Thank you for purchasing the RFX940 SOLO EQ instrument equalizer. The SOLO
EQ was designed with the working musician in mind. The EQ centers are custom
tailored for more musical control over your sound, rather than just mathematical
EQ center points. The 940 also features two independent level settings. One for
your rhythm or normal volume, and the second for a lead or solo volume. Each
band can be boosted or cut up to 15 dB. To achieve the best results from your
RFX940, please read this manual carefully. We sincerely hope you enjoy this
product.

INSPECTION
1. Unpack and Inspect the RFX940 package.
Your RFX940 was carefully packed at the factory in a protective carton. Nonethe-

2. Complete the Warranty Registration Card and return it to the factory.

AC ADAPTER INPUT: For use with the optional ROLLS PS27 Power Supply; 12
VDC, 150 mA, tip negative.
INSTRUMENT INPUT: 1/4" phone jack for an instrument level signal.
OUTPUT: 1/4" phone jack to be connected to another pedal, recording device, or

NOTE: Unique to the RFX series of effects pedals is the ability of the output jack

Although there are no set rules for effect placement, the RFX940 EQ would
normally be placed last in the signal chain, or directly before your amplifier.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The battery will need to be replaced when the unit will not switch on and off, or
when the VOL 1 or EQ ON LEDs will not go completely out.
To change the battery, remove the battery compartment cover and replaced with a
9-volt (alkaline preferred) battery. The battery cover should be put back in place
with the extending flange toward the output side of the pedal. See battery cover
diagram below.

Completely remove the battery if the unit is being operated with an external power
supply (ROLLS PS27), or if the unit is not going to be used for an extended period
of time.
