3.8.5 VPN > L2TP
L2TP (
“Layer 2 Transport Protocol”) is a form of VPN
developed by Cisco Systems that can carry
traffic not seen in most other tunnelling protocols. Because it is Layer 2 based, it can “bridge”
physically separated networks and make them appear as a single network. This protocol can
transport non-IP packets such as ARP and other broadcast-based protocols.
Multimax can be both an L2TP client and/or an L2TP server.
