4 CHARGING THE MODEL
Attention:
The battery and motor must cool down for 15 to 30 minutes before charging
and after every flight. Otherwise they can be damaged. The charging process must
be constantly monitored. Always ensure that the charging process takes place on a
fireproof surface in a fire-resistant environment.
4A
• Remove the battery from the model to charge it
• Insert the male bullet of the mains adapter in the balancer charger
• Insert the mains plug of the adapter into an outlet
• The Status LEDs on the upper side of the balancer charger illuminate green
4B
• Now insert the white balancer plug of the battery into the connection on the
front of the balancer charger.
• The Status LEDs illuminate red during the charging process.
• If the Status LEDs illuminate green again, the charging process is finished and
the battery must be disconnected from the charger.
The model can fly for up to 20 minutes after a charge time of approx. 180
minutes.
Warning notice:
The battery does not normally heat up while charging. If it should
become warm or even hot and/or changes to the surface begin to appear, immediately
discontinue the charging process!
Maintenance and care:
• Please only use a clean, damp cloth
to wipe off the model.
• Protect the model and batteries from
direct sunlight and/or direct heat.
• Never allow the remote control and
charging unit to come into contact
with water, because the electronics
will be damaged as a result.

5 START PREPARATION
Attention:
In order to start the rotors, the following procedure must be followed
step-by-step EACH TIME THE MODEL IS SWITCHED ON.

To start the model, first switch on the remote control, then insert the battery into
the battery compartment of the model.
5B
Then switch on the model by connecting the battery plug to the battery connection
and closing battery compartment
1D
.
5C
The model reports „Check Gyro Sens“ in the display of the remote control.
The model must remain stationary on a level and solid surface until the message
disappears and the message „Compass Calibration 1“ appears.
5D
Calibrate the compass. This must be repeated each time the model is switched
on in order to adjust the model to the respective environment.
Attention:
Keep
magnetic objects such as mobile phones or car keys away from the model!
• Compass Calibration 1: Rotate the model in normal position ANTI-clockwise until
the message „Compass Calibration 2“ appears in the display of the remote control
• Compass Calibration 2: Now rotate the model ANTI-clockwise with the camera
pointing upward until the message disappears.
5E
The initial flights should only be flown with GPS support. For this purpose, move
the switch for GPS Hold
2J
upwards and wait about 30 seconds until at least six
satellites have been found (see Fig. 6). If the switch for GPS Hold
2J
is deactivated
(switch position down), the rotors can also be started without a GPS signal.
This option is only recommended for experienced pilots
Attention:
The rotors only start if the switch for Coming Home
2K
is deactivated
(switch position down).
3 INSERTING BATTERIES (REMOTE CONTROL)
