Analog Input A and B
Line-level input for connection to analog source,
such as a TV tuner, VCR, or tape player.

USB Digital Input
Connect to PC or Mac USB host 1.1 or 2.0, using a standard USB ‘A to B’ cable.
With Windows XP or 2000, all audio will automatically be routed to the XS.
With Mac OSX, audio must be routed to the USB port by selecting
System Preferences Sound Output, and choosing the USB port.

Coaxial Digital Input I, II
75 Ohm RCA S/PDIF
Connect with a 75 Ohm coaxial cable to digital sources,
such as a DVD player, satellite receiver, or DAT.
In the case of a multi-channel source, the digital output should be set to 2-channel PCM mode.
Compressed audio such as Dolby Digital or DTS will not be decoded.

Optical Digital Input I, II
Toslink S/PDIF
Connect with a Toslink fiber-optic cable to digital sources,
such as a DVD player, satellite receiver, or DAT.
In the case of a multi-channel source, the digital output should be set to 2-channel PCM mode.
Compressed audio such as Dolby Digital or DTS will not be decoded.

Digital Link to CD
Connect to Opus 21 cd digital input using the supplied cable.
Use the red plug at the XS and the black plug at the CD.

AM Antenna
Connect the included loop-antenna to the screw terminals. Adjust its position with respect
to the direction of the transmitter to improve reception.

FM Antenna
For optimal FM radio reception a roof or loft mounted aerial is recommended.
A 75 Ohm coaxial cable should be used to bring the radio signal to the tuner.
Alternatively, an indoor dipole antenna may be used. Mount it as high on the wall as possible,
and position the elements horizontally.
