4 Causes of Error and Troubleshooting

Cause and Solution
Blade does not cut into the bundled cable.
Blade is dull and has to be exchanged.
Blade does not cut deep enough into the
bundled cable.
The size of the bundled cable does not
match the cable guide and vice versa. The
combination of cable and cable guide is of
importance to get the desired results.
5 Warranty
The delivered product is subject to a statutory warranty period. The warranty does not cover
wear and tear elements, such as cutting blades, guides for bundled cables, etc.
6 Maintenance and Repair
The RAUCUT I tool for cutting bundled polymeric optical cable must be in a proper and clean
condition before starting work. Possible damages must be repaired immediately. The hinges
must be lubricated with high-quality light oil on the regular bases and must be protected from
dirt. All bolts must be secured by locking rings.
All repairs, other than mentioned in point 4 of this manual, have to be performed by the
manufacturer or an authorized dealer.
