Beam Steering
Iconyx IC-FR digitally steered arrays produce tightly focused, precisely aimed beams of acoustic energy that maintain their intensity well
over long distances. The FIR files that shape and aim these beams of energy are created within RHAON under Beam Steering and then
either stored as a Preset or loaded into the array’s DSP. Presets are an Iconyx feature that allows you to store up to 10 preset beam steer
-
ing and DSP control setup configurations in the array’s DSP memory and then select between them. We’ll cover Presets in detail later on
in this manual.
To enter Beam Steering, open the Beams / Presets Tab. This will open a window listing the presets available. If we are operating in the
virtual world, the white listing field will be empty. If we are connected to an actual array, the field will list the presets stored in the loudspeak
-
er’s memory and highlight which one is loaded into the array’ working DSP. See below.
If we change the preset, RHAON will add a line to the listing warning you that the preset has been changed since it was loaded on the
array. See below.
To open the Beam Steering module, click on the Beam Steering button in the beam display graphic (outlined in red above)
