Inserting/changing the battery for the remote control
Please keep batteries out of reach of children.
Please ensure the correct polarity when inserting the battery.
Remove the battery during log periods of non-use.
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns when in contact with skin. You should
thus wear suitable gloves in such a case.
Do not short-circuit batteries. Do not throw into fire. Furthermore it should not be rechar
-
ged. There is a risk of explosion!
The battery of the remote control is protected by the insulation foil before discharging when first
commissioning. Remove this foil before use while pulling it out of the remote control battery
compartment.
• Pull out the battery holder at the back of the remote control.
• Remove the discharged battery and insert a new CR2025 3 V lithium button cell. The correct polarity is
specified on the battery holder.
• Reinsert the battery holder into the remote control.
• If the remote control no longer functions correctly, the battery is discharged and must be replaced by a
new battery of the same type.
Installation
Carefully select the installation site so that the device does not affect the normal driving
of the driver or distracts him from traffic situations.
No parts should be installed in the range of the airbag since this can lead to passenger
injuries in the case of an accident.
Changes to the vehicle which are necessary due to the installation of the monitor or other
components, must always be designed in such a way that they do not lead to any impair-
ment of road safety or the constructive stability of the car. The operating license already
expires with many cars when sawing out a sheet metal part.
Make sure that no electric cables, brake lines, the fuel tank are not damaged before com-
pleting the fixing holes.
When installing the monitor please take into account the accident risk which can result
from torn off devices in the event of an accident. Therefore securely attach it to a place
where it cannot put passengers at risk.
• Please search for a suitable installation area.
• Remove both knurled screws and both Allen screws on the mounting bracket and remove the mounting
bracket from the monitor.
• If the sun visor is not needed it can be removed from the front of the housing.
• Mark the holes for the attachment screws of the mounting bracket at the installation space. The assembly
bracket can be used as a template.
• Fasten the mounting bracket with matching screws that are suitable for the mounting surface.
• Reattach the monitor with the four screws to the mounting bracket, set the desired angle and tighten the
screws at the mounting bracket.
Connection
The electrical connection should only be carried out by specialists.
The vehicle battery must be disconnected when connecting the negative pole (mass) to
avoid short circuits and damage to the device resulting from this.
First connect the negative pole of the battery when you have fully connected the device
and checked the connection.
Only use a voltmeter or a diodes test lamp to check the voltage at the on-board voltage
lines since normal test lamps consume excessive voltage and can damage the on-board
electronics.
Do not squash or rub the cables on sharp edges when laying. Use rubber grommets at
the implementation points.
• Connect the cable provided with the connector on the monitor.
• Connect the yellow V1 RCA jack to the video output of your playback device.
• Connect the white AUDIO1 RCA jack to the audio output of your playback device which is connected to
the V1 RCA jack.
• Connect the yellow V2 RCA jack to the video output of an additional playback device or to the video output
of your rear view camera.
• Connect the white RCA jack AUDIO2 to the audio output of your playback device which is connected to
the V2 RCA jack.
• Connect the black GND cable to the vehicle ground.
• Connect the red cable +12/24 V to a connection which only carries voltage switched on ignition.
