Operation

a) Select the temperature unit °C/°F at the thermometer/hygrometer

Briefly press the “°C/°F” button of the thermometer/hygrometer to switch between °C (degrees

Celsius) and °F (degrees Fahrenheit).

The temperature display of the outdoor sensor cannot be changed; it always shows

“°C” (degrees Celsius).

b) Maximum/minimum values

Displaying the values

Briefly press the “MAX/MIN” button several times in order to toggle between the following displays:
•  Maximum values (indicator “MAX“ on display)
•  Minimum values ( indicator “MIN“ on display)
•  Current measured values

If no button is pressed for a few seconds, the current measurement values will auto-

matically appear.

Reset values

Press and hold the “MAX/MIN” button for 3 seconds. Dashes appear in the display (instead of

measurement values) and the saved maximum and minimum values are deleted.

c) Comfort zone indicator

The comfort zone indicator is located at the top of the display. The indicator is generated based on

air humidity and shows you with a glance the current room climate.

"DRY" (dry)

<34%

"DRY”/”COMFORT"

35% - 40%

"COMFORT" (optimal)

41% - 55%

"COMFORT"/"WET"

56% - 64%

"WET" (wet)

>65%

An arrow below “MORE DRY”, “MORE WET” and “NO CHANGE” indicates the trend of

the air humidity; as if the air humidity changes:

“MORE DRY”: Air humidity decreases

“MORE WET”: Air humidity increases

“NO CHANGE”: Air humidity has not changed

A window symbol indicates if you should open the window (

 - if the air humidity is too high) or

close the window (

 - if the air humidity is too low).

Range

The transmission range of the radio signals between outdoor sensor and thermometer/hygrometer

is up to 80 m under optimum conditions.

This transmission range data refers to the so-called “free-field range”. However, this

ideal arrangement (e.g. thermometer/hygrometer and outdoor sensor on a plain, even

meadow without trees, houses, etc.) never exists in practice.

Due to the different influences on the wireless transmission, no specific range can be guaranteed.

However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a single family house.
The range can be significantly reduced by proximity to cables, pipes, metal pieces, electronic

devices, and similar. Thick walls, steel construction, laminated insulated glass windows, etc., also

reduce the range very significantly.
If you notice that the thermometer/hygrometer does not contain any measured values of the out-

door sensor, check the condition of the batteries in the outdoor sensor first. Following that, select

another location for the thermometer/hygrometer and the outdoor sensor.

Maintenance and cleaning

Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you.
Use a clean, dry and soft cloth for cleaning. Do not press too hard on the display, this may cause

scratch marks or the display to malfunction; furthermore, the display might break.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these

could damage (discolour) the housing or even impair operation.

Disposal

a) General

The product must not be disposed of in the household waste!

Dispose of the waste product in accordance with the applicable legal regulations.

Remove the inserted batteries (or rechargeable batteries),if any, and dispose of them

separately from the product.

b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries

As the end user, you are required by law (battery ordinance) to return all used batteries and re-

chargeable batteries; it is not permitted to dispose of batteries with normal household waste.

Batteries / rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with

this symbol to indicate that disposal in domestic waste is prohibited. The designations

for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.

Used batteries, rechargeable batteries and coin cells can be returned to collection points in your

municipality, our stores or wherever batteries / rechargeable batteries / coin cells are sold.
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.

Declaration of Conformity (DOC)

product conforms to the fundamental requirements and other relevant regulations of the 1999/5/EC

directive.
