Setup
1. Assemble the product as shown.
2. Select the type of feet (22) or (23).
If the surface is uneven or small, remove the
base and attach the feet directly to the motor
body (20).
3. Choose an outlet type:
- Hose (9) or (9a).
- Extension pipe.
Setup notes
• Outlets (9) or (9a) can be used to attach a hose for uses
such as with a stream or as an outlet to pump water out
e.g. emptying a fountain.
• Outlet (9) connects to the pump housing (15).
• The elbow pipe (11) connects to the adaptor (16) to
change the outlet direction.
• Different fountain heads spray water in different pat-
terns. Experiment with how tightly the head is screwed
in to get the optimum spray pattern.
• The extension pipe (5) can be secured with a rope using
a small bracket.
• Check all parts are securely fitted before operating.
Operation
Risk of fatal electric shock. Never hold, carry,
or secure the product via the mains cable.
1. Place the fountain pump in a suitable fluid medium e.g.
shallow pond or a similar.
- The outlet (extension pipe or hose) should not be
submerged.
- Rotate the tee-adjuster valve (8) to direct the water
through the fountain, hose, or both.
2. Insert the power plug into a mains socket. The pump will
start immediately upon connection.
If water is not pumped, air could be trapped inside. Try
the following:
- Wait a few seconds for the air to escape.
- Disconnect and reconnect the power plug.
- Gently rock the fountain pump back and forth.
- Disconnect the pump from the power supply and check for loose fittings.
3. Optimise the flow rate. Use the adjuster (12) to increase “+” or decrease “-” the amount of water intake.
4. When finished using, disconnect the power plug from the mains socket. The pump will stop immediately
upon disconnection.
Removing from service
If the fountain pump is taken out of service (e.g. for cleaning, maintenance, or storage for winter):
1. Disconnect the fountain pump from the power supply.
2. Take the fountain pump out of the water.
- Disconnect the hose (if applicable).
- Tip the pump over and let any water drip out.
- Dry the fountain pump and the power cord.
3. Perform any necessary maintenance and cleaning. See section “Maintenance and cleaning”.
Maintenance and cleaning
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they
can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
Disconnect the product from the mains before each cleaning.
• Clean the product with a fibre-free cloth.
• If needed, rinse the outer surface and parts with fresh water.
• Allow the fountain pump and power cord to completely dry before storing away.
• Disassemble and clean the fountain pump usung fresh water at regular intervals.
Disassembly
1. Pull the filter basket (13) away from the pump housing (15)
If needed remove the base (20) by sliding it off.
2. Remove the filter sponge (14).
3. Open the pump housing (15) by rotating anticlockwise as marked inside the housing CLOSE → OPEN.
4. Gently pull the pump housing away from the motor body (20).
5. Pull the rotor assembly (18) away from the motor body.
Reverse steps 1 to 5 to re-assemble the pump.
