a) Voltage supply via the enclosed power pack unit
This connection type may be used only for TV sets or receivers without or
with 5 V phantom power supply that is switched off.
To this end, read the information in the operating instructions of your TV
set/receiver.
• Connect the antenna cable of the DVB-T antenna with the antenna connector of
your TV set or receiver.
• Connect the low voltage jack of the power adapter with the low voltage socket at
the rear side of the DVB-T antenna.
• Plug the power unit into a wall outlet of the public power supply grid.
• Switch on your receiver and select a programme.
• Try to optimise the reception by changing the mounting position and alignment of the
DVB-T antenna.
• Adjust amplification with the MIN/MAX switch at the base of the DVB-T antenna so
that you obtain optimal image quality.
b) Powered by the 5 V-phantom power of the receiver
This connection type is only suitable for TV sets or receivers that feature a
5 V phantom supply for antennas.
To this end, read the information in the operating instructions of your TV
set/receiver.
• Connect the antenna cable of the DVB-T antenna with the antenna connector of
your TV set or receiver.
• Switch on your receiver and activate the phantom power for the antenna input (see
operation instructions of the relevant device).
• Select a program on the TV set.
• Try to optimise the reception by changing the mounting position and alignment of the
DVB-T antenna.
• Adjust amplification with the MIN/MAX switch at the base of the DVB-T antenna so
that you obtain optimal image quality.
Handling
• Never operate DVB-T antenna or the power pack with damaged housing or missing
covers.
• Never use the DVB-T antenna immediately after it has been brought from a cold
room into a warm one. The condensation that forms can ruin the product under
certain circumstances. Leave it until it has reached room temperature. Wait until the
condensation has evaporated.
• Never unplug the power unit from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always
use the provided handles which are intended specifically for this purpose.
• Unplug the power supply if you are not going to use the device for a while.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power adaptor from the mains socket during
thunderstorms.
Maintenance and care
Before cleaning the product, disconnect it from the power supply (unplug
the power supply unit from the mains socket or the antenna jack from the
receiver if phantom power is used!).
Make sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
The DVB-T antenna is maintenance-free; therefore do not open the case. If you do
open it, the warranty will be rendered null and void.
Periodically inspect the technical safety of the device for damage to the case, power
supply, etc. If the unit is damaged, it must be put out of operation and secured against
accidental use.
The outside of the casing should be cleaned only with a dry, soft cloth or brush. Never
use aggressive cleansing agents or chemical solutions, since they might damage the
surface of the housing.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclables and must not be disposed of in the
household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
