LET’S GET STARTED!

Understanding how the Express Brewer Works.

Unlike conventional single-serve brewers, the EXPRESS BREWER works by utilizing an internal HOT

WATER BOILER TANK that maintains a constant water level inside the brewer at a perfect brewing

temperature.  When you first open your brewer, you must prepare it for initial use by filling the HOT

WATER BOILER TANK.  This process is only performed once during the life of the brewer and it is

important that you follow the instructions given below to ensure that you do not overfill the tank and

create an overflow situation.

Once you have filled the boiler tank, you can begin adding the correct amount of water (4 to

12 ounces) to accommodate the size beverage you desire to brew.  Once added, the Brewer will

pump that water into the tank and dispense the same amount of hot water/liquid into your cup/

mug (i.e. if you added 10 oz of water you’ll get approximately 10oz of hot liquid in your cup).

Now that you have a basic understanding of how the brewer works, let’s move on to unpacking

it and preparing it for use!

 1.  Remove all packing tape, packaging, and stickers from the brewer and wipe clean with a soft

water-dampened cloth.

2.  Plug the brewer into a grounded outlet.

3.  Press the POWER BUTTON. The POWER BUTTON and BREW BUTTON will illuminate.

Now you’re ready to perform the INITIAL PRIMING PROCEDURE by filling the Hot Water

Boiling Tank!

Before you begin, take a look at the WATER SIGHT GLASS area. This area allows you to see exactly

how much water you are adding to the brewer. It shows the typical 4oz, 6oz, 8oz, 10oz, and 12oz

water level lines.  You’ll also notice that towards the top of the WATER SIGHT GLASS area is a solid

WHITE LINE.  This is the INITIAL PRIMING LINE that represents how much water must be added

to fill the BOILER TANK. In addition, you’ll notice that inside the WATER SIGHT GLASS will be a

SMALL RED FLOAT BALL.

The purpose of the SMALL RED FLOAT BALL is to alert you when the BOILER TANK IS FULL.  As

water is being added to the WATER FILL AREA, the FLOAT BALL will rise. As the water nears the

INITIAL PRIME LINE,  you’ll notice that an AIR BUBBLE will form directly above the FLOAT BALL.

Once the FLOAT BALL reaches the INITIAL PRIME LINE and raises slightly above that line, the AIR

BUBBLE will disappear, which means the boiler tank is full. At this point you should immediately

stop pouring water into the brewer. Follow the steps below to Prime the Brewer (i.e. fill the Hot

Water Boiler Tank).

1.  Lift the DOOR to the WATER RESERVOIR FILL area. Pour tap, bottled or filtered water into

the FILL area until you see that the RED FLOAT BALL slightly passes the “INITIAL PRIMING

LINE” and the AIR BUBBLE above the RED FLOAT BALL disappears. As soon as the air bubble

disappears, immediately stop adding water and close the WATER RESERVOIR DOOR.

NOTE:   Remember that after completing the Initial Priming Process to never fill the

brewer to the INITIAL PRIMING LINE again or exceed the 12 oz water mark shown on

the WATER SIGHT GLASS.  Doing so will create an overflow situation of water in your

cup and/or on the surface on which the Brewer is sitting.
