Cleaning & Care

NOTE: **When cleaning your shaver, make sure the shaver
is turned off and disconnected from the power cord.**

CAUTION

!

Cleaning your shaver

To ensure long lasting performance, it is important to clean

your shaver regularly.  We recommend you clean your

shaver after each use. The easiest and most hygienic way to

clean the shaver is by rinsing the shaver head after use with

warm water.

Weekly

Clean under the cutter assembly at least once a week:
1.  Turn the shaver off.
2.  Remove the head assembly from the shaver body (Diagram I).

4.

Use your free hand to stretch your skin

so that the hairs stand upright. This

encourages your facial hair to stand out,

making it easier for them to enter the foil

and engage the intercept trimmer

(Diagram D).

5.

Hold the shaver so that the foils touch

your skin simultaneously. The

independently floating screens

automatically adjust to the contours of

your face. Only apply light pressure on

the shaving head while shaving and use

short, circular strokes (Diagram E).

6.

After shaving, turn the shaver off by

sliding the power button.

Shaving Tips

For A Better Shave

For a smoother, more comfortable, moisture-free shave, use a

Remington® Pre-Shave Powder Stick (SP5).

**Remington recommends that you use your new shaver
daily for up to three weeks to allow time for your hair and
skin to become accustomed to the new shaving system**
•  Ensure your skin is dry and free of oils.
•  Wait at least 15 minutes after getting up before shaving,

to ensure your face is free of puffiness that may be

present from sleeping.

•  Always hold the shaver at a right angle to the skin so that

both heads are touching the skin with equal pressure.

•  Stretch skin with the free hand so hairs stand upright,

making it easier for them to enter the cutting chamber.

•  Shave with short, circular strokes. The use of short, circular

motions in stubborn areas may obtain a closer shave,

especially along the neck and chin line.

•  Do not press hard against the skin in order to avoid

damage to foil heads.

HOW TO USE

Adjusting To Your Shaver

As with every shaver, your shave will improve over time. Allow

up to four weeks of daily shaving to develop an effective

shaving style and for your skin to adjust to the new shaver. The

adaptation period may take a little longer if your skin is

sensitive, if you are switching from a different method of

shaving, or if you alternate between shaving methods.

Removing The Protective Head Guard

Before operating your shaver, remove the protective head

guard, which protects the foils and cutter assembly. It is

important to remove it correctly to avoid damaging the clips

that hold it to the shaver.

1.

Press lightly on the top of the protective head guard.

2.

  Lift the lower rear edge.
