UNPACKING AND TESTING APPLIANCE 

Carefully remove t he appliance from t he box. Prior to inst alling t he appliance, t est  t o make sure t he 

appliance operat es properly by plugging t he power supply cord int o a convenient ly located 120 Volt  

grounded out let . 

GROUNDING APPLIANCE 

This appliance is for use on 120 Volt s. The cord has a plug as show n in (A). An adapt er as show n in (C) 

is  available  for  connect ing  t hree-blade  grounding  t ype  plugs  t o  t wo-slot   receptacles.  The  green 

grounding  lug  ext ending  from  t he  adapt er  must   be  connect ed  t o  a  permanent   ground  such  as  a 

properly grounded out let  box. The adapt er should not  be used if a t hree-slot  grounded receptacle is 

available.

LOCATING THE FIREPLACE   

Plan w here to locat e and frame t he fireplace. This w ill save t ime and money lat er w hen you inst all 

t he fireplace. Before installat ion consider t he follow ing:

Where t he fireplace is locat ed must  allow  for wall and ceiling clearances (see 

INSTALLATION

Consider  a  locat ion  w here  t he  fireplace  screen  w ill  not   be  exposed  t o  direct   sunlight   from 

w indows or doors.

A 15 ampere, 120 Volt , 60 Hz branch circuit  w it h proper ground must  be available at  t he locat ion. 

Preferably a dedicat ed branch circuit  should be provided t o avoid circuit  breakers t o t rip of fuses 

t o blow.
