Thank you for showing confidence in us by choosing a
REHOBOT jack. REHOBOT products have a reputation
for high quality and we hope you will enjoy many years of
service from your jack. To make sure the jack operates
properly we recommend that you read through these oper-
ating instructions carefully before using the jack.
General
This jack is designed and manufactured in accordance
with the European Machinery Directive and conforms to
standard EN1494.
No modifications of the jack which affect the compliance
of the jack with the above standard are allowed.
Always make sure that personnel using the jack read these
instructions before usage.
Assembling the pump handle (A)
Fit the two sections of the pump handle together making
sure the two holes are in line. Screw the screw into the
hole. Place the pump handle in the pump handle socket.
Check that the pump handle can be turned in both direc-
tions and that the pump handle cannot be withdrawn from
the handle socket.
How to use the jack
Place the jack under the load.
Close the release valve by turning the pump handle
clockwise until it stops. (B)
N.B.! Do not over tighten as this may damage the
release valve.
Pump the handle until the load reaches the required
height. (C)
To lower the load, carefully turn the pump handle anti-
clockwise until the load starts to descend. (D)
Storage
The jack should be stored in a dry atmosphere when not
in use.
PLEASE NOTE!
When operating the jack, attention should be paid to the
following points (E):
- Place the jack on a flat even surface.
- The jack should lift the load perpendicularly to the
surface it is placed on.
- Place the load in the centre of the lifting saddle.
- Before lifting, ensure that the load is secured and
cannot roll or glide off the jack.
- Never work under a load without first ensuring that it is
supported on stands of suitable size and strength.
- The jack is designed for lifting loads such as cars etc. It
is prohibited to use the jack for lifting people.
Hydraulic oil filling
Hydraulic oil is added via the filler plug on the container
of the hydraulic unit (1). Fig F.
Total fluid required: 0,21 liter.
N.B.! The hydraulic unit should not be completely filled.
To ensure the jack operates efficiently use only high
grade hydraulic fluid, viscosity grade ISO VG10.
Lubricating instructions
Lubricate moving parts when necessary using a high
grade lubricating grease. Fig G.
For safety reasons, it is important that servicing is carried
out by qualified personnel. If in the slightest doubt, please
contact your retailer for information about the nearest
authorised service workshop.
Dismantling the hydraulic unit
NB! In order to reassemble the jack, take note of how
the parts are assembled. Fig H.
- Dismantle the spring from the lifting arm (45)
- Loosen the clamps (46, 48) and withdraw the rubber
bellow (47).
- Remove the cotterpin (43).
.
- Remove the stop ring (54) from the shaft (53).
- Remove the shaft (53) from the frame. N.B! When the
shaft is removed you must hold down the pump arm (56),
this is because it is under load from the pump spring (22)
and is could fly off.
- Remove the hydraulic unit from the frame.
Assembly instructions for the hydraulic unit
- Place the hydraulic unit in the frame.
- Compress the pump spring (22) with the aid of the
pump arm (56).
- Insert the shaft (53) and retaining ring (54).
- Insert the cotterpin (43).
- Replace rubber bellow (47) and clamps (46, 48).
- Replace the spring on the lifting arm (45).
Recycling
Hydraulic oil that is drained when servicing the jack
must be collected and handled according to applicable
environmental laws and regulations.
The various parts can be recycled at the end of their
service life. The unit consists of steel, hydraulic oil,
rubber (seals), and plastic. Collect the hydraulic oil and
dispose of it separately. The unit does not contain any
pressurized components when released from load. For
more information about recycling of this product, please
contact the local authorities, your waste disposal service
or your provider.
