You may change the Arc force value as you like for each type of electrode and
save is as a default value.
As soon as the arc has ignited, the actually
adjusted value is saved in memory.
Each electrode type has special parameters preselected to ensure an optimum
welding process. The following factory settings apply for the arc force:
It helps to ensure a stable arc with electrode welding when the droplet material
transfer is assisted with very short current impulses in addition to the selected
welding current. The amperage of these current impulses is determined by the
Arc Force selected. Use the rotating button [5] to adjust the Arc Force
continuously between 0% and 300% if you selected Rutile and Basic as the type
of electrode. If you selected Cellulose as the type of electrode, you may to adjust
the Arc Force continuously between 100% and 300%. Imax)
Example: Arc force 50% and welding current=100A -> Arc force 150A).
3.6.4
Anti-stick function
If the electrode welding produces a permanent short circuit, the anti-stick function
will be triggered after about 1.3 seconds, to reduce the current to zero ampere.
This ensures that the electrode overheats and the permanent short circuit can be
resolved easily by pulling it back gently.
3.6.5
Resetting to the factory settings
Keep the rotating button pressed and switch on the welding current supply to
reset the Arc force and Hot Start values back to factory settings. The digital
display shows „CLr“.
3.7
WIG welding push button
Use the push button [1] to select the welding process (WIG welding): the control
LED [2] will light up to indicate the operating mode selected. To use WIG
welding, the welding current supply has to be equipped with a WIG torch with a
gas valve. In addition, we offer for BOOSTER.PRO the gas management option
(see chapter 3.7.2), so you may use a REHM standard torch "R-TIG 12-
200/4m“
(REHM order No.: #7631735). Connect the WIG torch to the negative pole (-)
(welding socket at the top) and the ground cable to the positive pole (+) (welding
socket at the bottom).
