The aluminium frame should not come into direct contact with the ground, as
the surface of the aluminium will be damaged by the soil and this could cause
corrosion.
For the assembly of the aluminium frame itself, the connecting elements and
the floor fixture on the frame, only the stainless steel screws provided must
be used, as otherwise this could lead to corrosion and, as a consequence,
personal injury and damage to property.
Other
The cover caps made from plastic prevent the direct entry of water into the
frame and must therefore always be fitted.
Assembly of the parts at below 0° and in strong winds is advised against due
to an increased risk of personal injury and damage to property.
Special areas of application
-Properties on slopes
The individual elements must always be fixed into place horizontally. Several
elements can be positioned o
ff
set in height to each other to even out slopes
-Due to the possible wind loads, it is not possible to fix the screen directly to
the RELAZZO decking
-When positioning the screen at the property boundaries, please note the
local building specification
No window boxes or other similar heavy items must be hung on the screen.
The screen is not designed for this and this could lead to personal injury and/
or damage to property. Furthermore, no additional foils must be fitted across
large areas of the screen.
The RELAZZO screen system is not approved by the Building Inspectorate, and
therefore is only designed as a screen for vertical application and cannot be
used for free-standing constructional purposes.
The local building regulations are to be observed accordingly.
In spite of great care during manufacturing, the aluminium frame may have
some sharp edges which could cause injury or damage components during
assembly. Deburring, e.g. with a file, may perhaps be required here.
It is quick and easy to dismantle the screen elements for the winter, by remo-
ving the connecting screws to the floor fixture from the frame and lifting up
the screen as a one element. For transport and storage, it is to be ensured
that this takes place without twisting the frame if possible. Furthermore, the
screen should not be damaged/scratched, perhaps by wrapping it in foil or
placing it on cardboard.

Storage suggestions and handling
Prior to assembling the screen, the individual components should be stored at
environment temperature for minimum 2 hours.
Generally a clean work area and a soft surface is to be ensured in order to
avoid soiling and scratches, etc. In the case of possible stacking of the
individual parts, damage-free storage is to be ensured by film / cardboard
layers in between (if necessary).
The fully-assembled screen elements should be stored lying down or standing
up and protected against moisture and sunlight. It is to be ensured in particu-
lar here that no additional loads can impact upon the elements. Storage at an
angle is also to be avoided due to a risk of warping.
Primarily in the first days and weeks after commencing use of or construction
of the WPC screen, a natural greying place takes place due to the light cond-
itions (see 2.4 Colour development).
Due to permanent coverage changes in colour, so-called mould spots, could
also form on the WPC profiles.
We recommend storage in a closed room or at least under cover in order to
prevent colour changes due to moisture and sunlight.
Open packaging units are always to be stored in dry rooms and level.
