• Functional efficiency of the brake system. With the brakes applied it should not be possible to move the
wheelchair. With the brakes released, the wheelchair should be easy to move. If you notice unusual brake be-
haviour, inform your specialist dealer immediately and take the wheelchair out of use.
• Functional efficiency of the passive lighting system. Your wheelchair is equipped with yellow reflectors on the
sides. The reflectors must always be visible to other road users and should not be dirty or obscured in any other
way.
• Integrity and cleanliness of the seat and back upholstery. If these are dirty they can be cleaned in accordance
with the cleaning instructions, if they are damaged, contact your specialist dealer.
• Moveable items and screw and rivet connections: Check these for ease of operation and integrity.
Instructions Regarding Transport
For transportation in a passenger vehicle or simply just to save space, the wheelchair can be easily folded to-
gether. In addition the drive wheels can be removed quite simply (see assembly description).
Attention
: The wheelchair is not approved for use as a seat in vehicles such as disabled transport vehicles!
Get out of the wheelchair and fold up the foot plates, where applicable, remove the leg supports and slowly pull
the seat upwards, the Actimo Wheelchair then folds together.
Cleaning
Clean the Actimo Wheelchair regularly with a mild soap solution and clean water. Use a soft cloth for drying. Do
not use any abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents.
The wheels can be cleaned using a damp brush with plastic bristles. Do not use wire brushes! (These damage the
material!) The upholstery (cushions) can be gently (40°C) washed.
Use a commercially available disinfectant to disinfect the wheelchair. Do not use high-pressure or steam clean-
ers for cleaning!
Re-use / Multiple Use
On the transfer or re-use of the wheelchair it must be ensured that all the technical documents required for safe
use are passed on to the new user. The Actimo Wheelchair is intended for daily use.
It might be used by several people. Before the wheelchair is used by someone else or ownership is transferred to
another person, it must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in order to prevent the transmission of germs
(contamination). Here the procedures described under the point
Cleaning
and a commercially available disin-
fectant must be used.
The wheelchair must be checked for damage and be approved by a specialist dealer!

Labelling and Type Plates
Type and manufacturer's data plates are fitted to the Actimo Wheelchair. The plates must always remain legible,
illegible or missing plates must be replaced immediately. The type plate is very important for the indification of
the product. It must not be removed.
Storage
Before being stored, the Actimo Wheelchair must be thoroughly cleaned and dried. Store the wheelchair in the
outer packaging
(cardboard box / polybag) in a dry location away from light.
