SKIMMER
TRASHBOARDS
System V-AS-250 „with locking pin“
With the V AS 250 system, a mounting bracket „A“ is firmly screwed to
the plow leg, the screwing of the mounting bracket includes a shear
screw, see system „AS 250“ (ident). The mandrel can be pegged in
various positions and can be quickly removed to park the plow.
To adjust, proceed as follows:
¾
Insert the pin „B“ into the mounting bracket „A“.
¾
Insert the bolt „C“ and secure it by twisting for 180°.
¾
Push the security plate „D“ into the mounting bracket.
¾
Secure the locking plate „D“ with the linch pin „E“.
¾
The dismantling is done in reverse order.
To park the plow, all
mandrels on the ground side must
be removed.
Alternatively, you can turn the mandrels by 180 ° and insert them
from above (graphic on the right).
If soil sticks to the mouldboards (e.g. if the ground is very dry or if the mouldboard type does not match the soil conditions ), the
skimmers should be set very shallow or even be removed. This gives the mouldboard more pressure and cleans itself better.
Usually a skimmer working depth of just a few cm is sufficient to bury crop residues
cleanly and completely under the soil surface.
In the case of a very loose upper soil layer, e.g .: with a previous work step with
a cultivator, it can happen that the skimmers push crop residues in front of them.
In this case it is necessary to select a larger working depth step by step until the
skimmers work in unprocessed, solid ground.
To adjust, proceed as follows:
¾
Remove the linch pin „A“ and pull out the bolt „B“.
¾
Move the skimmer in the holding rail to its new position.
¾
Insert the bolt „B“ and secure it with the linch pin „A“.
¾
The bolt „B“ must be inserted in such a way that the linch pin „A“ is protected
behind the skimmer board (as shown in the picture), otherwise the lynch pin
could get lost during plowwork.
The trashboards represent an alternative to the conventional skimmers and are
particularly recommended for soils that are rich in stones (e.g. for stone secured
plows „NonStop“).
The setting should be chosen so that these guide plates work as shallow as possible
and only the top soil layer is peeled off.
To adjust, proceed as follows:
¾
Loosen the screws „A“ and „B“.
¾
Adjust the guide plate by pulling the outer end to move up or down
(there is an elongated hole on screw „B“).
¾
Tighten the screws „A“ and „B“.
